The Wildflower Community Choir is a friendly and welcoming choir based in Derbyshire, bringing people together through a shared love of singing. They're about so much more than just the music. They have fun, support one another, build confidence and create friendships, all while learning and performing beautiful songs together.
The Wildflower Community Choir, which meets in Ockbrook, was founded by Emma Morehouse in 2022, with the aim of bringing people together, through a shared love of music. It soon became much more, providing a safe space and supportive community where members, of all ages and from all walks of life, can make friends and grow in confidence. Now around 40 strong, the choir has been described by the Mayor of Erewash as ‘a real community asset through which women can express themselves and share their gift of music.’
And it doesn’t stop there… Emma recently also become musical director of the Belper Community Choir and of modern male voice ensemble, Aries Voices. All rehearse a diverse repertoire, from classic choral music, to songs from the shows, to rock and pop numbers.
