Toilets

There are public toilets available on both the ground floor and first floor at Derby Market Hall. 

Baby Changing is also located by the ground floor public toilets. 

Disabled toilets are located on the ground floor (next to Tikka Tales) and first floor (between Caffe Prosecco and Layer).

Changing Places toilet is located on the ground floor.  

Step-free access

Derby Market Hall is accessible for wheelchair users.

As part of our renovation, we’ve levelled flooring across the venue and at entrances and exits to facilitate step free access to the building.

Lift

A lift is located in the north-western corner of the building, next to Market Porter.

The lift entrance measures 900mm wide. The interior measures 1100mm wide by 1400mm long.  

Accessible seating

Accessible and wheelchair-friendly seating is available in all of our seating areas across the venue.

What traders are at Derby Market Hall? 

We have a range of permanent traders selling everything from fresh local produce to vintage clothing, pet supplies, gifts and more. Want to know who you'll find at the Market Hall? Take a look at our Traders page.

Our permanent traders will also be joined by regular pop-up traders. We'll post updates on our upcoming pop-ups on social media and on our News page.  

Are there events at Derby Market Hall? 

Yes, we have regular events and activities at Derby Market Hall, including live music, workshops, performances and more.  

Are you dog friendly? 

Yes, we warmly welcome well behaved dogs at Derby Market Hall. We just have a few house rules for dog-owners to follow to ensure everyone has a great experience: 

  • Dogs must remain on a lead, under control and accompanied at all times.
  • Please keep dogs off tables, chairs and other furnishings for hygiene reasons.
  • Do not bring your dog into the venue if they’re prone to barking, biting or can be overwhelmed by other dogs or crowded places.
  • Designated “no dogs allowed” times may be enforced for certain events/zones, subject to change at short notice.
  • Assistance and guide dogs are always welcome onsite. Please contact a member of the team should you require any further assistance. 

Is Derby Market Hall family friendly? 

Yes! We welcome guests of all ages at Derby Market Hall.

Is Derby Market Hall accessible?

Yes, Derby Market Hall is fully accessible and wheelchair friendly.  

We have disabled toilets on both floors, and a new Changing Places toilet located on the ground floor.

Can I hire Derby Market Hall for my event or function? 

Yes! We have a range of private hire options, including a new dedicated event and hire space, The Ordish Room, located on the first floor.

How can I become a trader? 

We’re still looking for some special non-food businesses, and pop-up traders, to complete our Derby Market Hall trader line-up.

What time is food served? 

Food is served throughout the day, with many traders offering breakfast options.

What type of food can I find at the market? 

Our street food traders offer a wide variety of sweet and savoury options, spanning many different types of cuisine, including British, Caribbean, South Asian, Greek, French, African, Japanese, South American, European and more. 

Do I need to book a table? 

There’s no need to book a table, simply turn up! 

How do I order food and drink?

You can order food and drink directly from our trader counters at Derby Market Hall. 

Visitors are encouraged to use our new Peazi app to browse the menus before heading to the counter. You can scan the QR code on your table to take a look. 

Can I order in person?  

Yes. 

Can I pay cash? 

Yes, cash is accepted by most traders at Derby Market Hall when ordering at the counter.

Can I see a menu? 

You can view our menus online using Peazi

Individual trader menus are also located next to the trader counter.

Where can I find dietary information?

All dietary information can be found on Peazi. If you have any questions, please ask a member of the team. 

Are there vegetarian / vegan / gluten free options available? 

Yes! Take a look at the trader menus to see vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes.
