We strive to make our venue, events and services as accessible as possible.

Facilities and services

This page details the access facilities and services we offer. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to improve your experience with us.

There are public toilets available on both the ground floor and first floor at Derby Market Hall.

Baby Changing is also located by the ground floor public toilets.

Disabled toilets are located on the ground floor (next to Tikka Tales) and first floor (between Caffe Prosecco and Vintage & Vinyl).

A Changing Places toilet is located on the ground floor.

Derby Market Hall is accessible for wheelchair users.

As part of our renovation, we’ve levelled flooring across the venue and at entrances and exits to facilitate step free access to the building.

Accessible and wheelchair-friendly seating is available in all of our seating areas across the venue.

A lift is located in the north-western corner of the building, next to Market Porter.

The lift entrance measures 900mm wide. The interior measures 1100mm wide by 1400mm long.

There are three Blue Badge spaces directly adjacent to Derby Market Hall on Tennant Street (DE1 2DB).

There is additional Blue Badge parking nearby on Morledge and Full Street.

We’ve made a range of improvements to our building to aid visibility throughout the venue.

Muted colours have been adopted to support visually impaired visitors.

Our lighting has been designed at the correct lumens to improve visibility and reduce glare.

All of our fixtures, fittings and furniture have been specifically colour contrasted to enhance accessibility.
