The event, in partnership with Derby CAMRA, will showcase an impressive selection of over one hundred cask ales, keg beers, ciders, and perries from Wednesday 14 October to Saturday 17 October.

The festival aims to champion the best of the region, featuring standout local producers alongside award-winning breweries from across the UK and beyond.

Live entertainment will be featured throughout the event, with a full programme of performers to be confirmed closer to the date.

Councillor Gurkiran Kaur, Derby City Council Cabinet Member for City Centre, Culture and Tourism, said:

We’re pleased to be working with Derby Heritage Beer Festival to bring the event to the Market Hall. It’s a highlight of the city’s calendar and will be a brilliant addition to our line-up of partnership events.

Our goal was for the Market Hall to be a versatile and vibrant space where the community can get together, and this will be a great example of that. We look forward to welcoming residents and visitors to enjoy the festival atmosphere in the heart of the city.

Russ Gilbert, chair of the Derby CAMRA Beer Festival Committee, said:

With its stunning Victorian architecture, Derby Market Hall is a perfect backdrop for our heritage beer festival.

Whether youre a dedicated real ale enthusiast or just fancy a good day out with friends, grab a glass and help us celebrate the best in ales, beers and ciders. It promises to deliver a brilliant atmosphere – don’t miss it!

In a change for this year’s schedule, the festival will run as a single, continuous session throughout the day. With last orders scheduled for 9:45pm, organisers are encouraging guests to continue their evening by visiting the many exceptional independent pubs throughout the city centre.

For those wishing to visit the Market Hall for their usual shopping, the building will remain open to the general public as normal throughout the festival.

Session times for Derby Heritage Beer Festival are 5pm until 10pm on Wednesday, and 12noon until 10pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Participants will be issued with a wristband to show they are ticket holders.

Admission to the festival is £6 for non-CAMRA members, while CAMRA members enjoy free entry upon presenting a valid membership card. All ticket holders are required to pay a £3 refundable glass deposit at the time of booking, which will be fully refunded when the glass is returned. Tickets are available to book now via Tckty.

Alternatively, customers can purchase tickets in-person at the Derby LIVE Sales and Information Centre located at 19 Chapel Street, Derby, DE1 3GU; or at the Derby LIVE stall at Derby Market Hall. Tickets will also be available on the door, subject to capacity.
