Derby City Lab

The Derby City Lab is a true public/private partnership success story, based on the concept of Urban Rooms in cities such as London, Amsterdam and Shanghai and has attracted over 30,000 visitors.

Visit the Lab to learn more about how the city is evolving and share your views on Derby’s future. Explore our 3D Derby City Centre Model as well as our interactive city regeneration touchscreen.

Visitors can also view the University of Derby’s Urban Sustainable Transition (DUST) project and see amazing footage showcasing the city’s potential future developments.

There's also a new specially commissioned touch screen kiosk created by Hardy Signs, which features an interactive development pipeline.

The Derby City Lab has been nationally recognised, winning the prestigious National Public/Private Partnership Award at the Estates Gazette Awards.

Partners include Marketing Derby, Derby City Council, the University of Derby, Lathams, Derbion, Clowes Developments and Derby Market Hall - all of whom see it as a valuable tool for engaging the wider public.
